All rules sourced from the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 (amended 2013 & 2018) and the Bangladesh Labour Rules 2015. Termination by notice under Section 26: permanent monthly-rated workers — 120 days; other permanent workers — 60 days (Section 26, BLA 2006). Severance compensation = 30 days' wages per completed year of service or gratuity, whichever is higher. Dismissal for misconduct requires full inquiry under Section 24 including a written charge-sheet, minimum 7 days to respond, an equal-representative enquiry committee concluding within 60 days, and management approval. All dues must be settled within 30 working days and a service certificate issued (Sections 30–31). Disputes may be filed in the Labour Court within 6 months of termination.
